Come here if you want to try some great Russian food without breaking your wallet. There are so many things to try here and you just can’t go wrong with any of them.
I should start by saying I know absolutely nothing about Russian food. However, I was brought here by a Russian friend. What impressed me about the place when I first walked in was the sheer variety of each type food. Also, it was promising to see some actual Russian people were dining here and working here. Well, I think they were speaking Russian.
The food was great. It was solid, comforting, tasty, and filling. I really liked the pelmini (dumplings) served with sour cream. The borscht was awesome on a cold wintry day. The blinchinki with beef and beef piroshki also both stick out as items I would definitely order again.
We got some pastries and sweets to go and I remember wondering but a few hours later why the heck didn’t I buy another napoleon and cream horn (pastry horn filled with cream).
Really, my only gripe about this place is that there isn’t a lot of seating inside. But I will definitely be coming back here because the food and customer service rock.
